Wait time for Nclex result

Yea, you can see if you passed or failed in generaly 2 days if not you can call and they will tell you if you passed, but not if you failed. It does cost you about $7-8 to call and verify it. I waited the 2 days and then checked on line at the license web site. If you passed, it shoud say license is null and void, if it says expired, then you failed the NCLEX. Same if you call them, they wil lsay yes you passed but if you failed they will tell you they dont have the results and have to wait till its posted online. I took my NCLEX on a sat and found out on Wednesday at 0700 that I passed. They only up-date the site QD at 0700 so dont bother checking multiple times a day, look around 0730 and it shoud be posted.

how long does it take for them to mail the actual license?

typically, you should get your license in about 2 weeks after you get your results. That is the time frame I have seen most of my friends recieve theres. If you dont get it within about 3-4 weeks, call the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs and let them know. I waited till a month went by and then, since it was longer thna a month, had to apply for a duplicate license to get one because they lost it in the mail or never sent it.

Do you know the website to check for license? I am waiting for my result. I give my exam this saturday and I run out from time and now I am worry about my result. As you wrote that we do not need to pay 8-9 dollars, we can check through website. Please list the link.

If you live in PA, the website is:

license.state.pa

it will give you a menu to choose which type of license because the licensing bureau has licenses for numerous different types of profession and not only nursing, anyway, you click on "nursing" and then just follow the prompts. It is a quick and easy reference and no need to pay for it! you can simply type in anyones name and check on anyone's license directly from the state!
