Look at it this way. 80% of the pay of a full time person. So there will be a slight reduction in taxes paid.
It will also depend on the number of shifts worked in a pay period per shift pattern. To give you an idea, I work a .5 over a four week roation, so in theory I have five days pay per pay cheque. But it works out that I have one cheque with 6 days and one with four because of the shift pattern.
