VMS access for sole proprietor

I am researching VMS (Medefis) and Independent contractor nursing.  How do I start that conversation?  The last posts I saw about starting up your LLC travel agency was about 2014.  There was talk about Medefis being used as a means to bid on hospital temp needs.  Does anyone know if this is still the case?  Any Independent contractor nurses out there that have feedback on this, if it is possible to find out hospital needs independent of a VMS, and what other systems you use to help your contracting independently of the travel agency system?
