Visit quotas and safe care

Is there anything out there about the maximum number of visits a nurse should do in one day? I don't think a nurse can give safe care when completing over 10 visits in an 8 hour day.

I am interested in home health, but may I ask what SOC and DC is in relation to your post?? thanks!

SOC - start of care or an admission DC -discharge. If these are Medicare patients it requires filling out an OASIS which is what Medicare has HH agencies use - very long and hard to get used to, but doable especially once you get used to them. Also, a ROC is a resumption of care -if a HH patient is hospitalized and returns home to the HH services.
