VisaScreen for Philippine Nurse who passed NCLEX-RN under California BRN

I'm a Philippine RN who just recently passed NCLEX-RN under California Board of Registered Nursing.The California BRN will only issue a license to an NCLEX passer if a U.S. Social Security Number is submitted and since I'm still residing in the Philippines I have nothing to submit. I'm now applying for a VisaScreen.Do I still have to send California BRN a "Request for Validation of Registration/License" since there is no license or registration to validate?Would it suffice if I just request California BRN to send CGFNS copies of my NCLEX-RN test result as proof passing the NCLEX exam to fulfill its VisaScreen requirements?

All you need s Ca to verify that you have meet requirements and passed NCLEX usual fee is $60 for them to do this and is on their website

Thanks for the reply,Silver Dragon.I have seen the Ca-BRN website.It says there under Miscellaneous Fees that ICHP VisaScreen costs $60.Also says there that "Verification of CA Registered Nurse Licensure" also costs $60,meaning they are one and the same.As you said Ca only needed to verify that I passed NCLEX.Woudn't it be enough if I just requested Ca to send a copy of my NCLEX test results to CGFNS? It will only cost me $10.

We have had several members go through Ca so may be worth just hanging on and see if anyone replies that recently went through the process. Alternatively email them and ask

Ive also taken the NCLEX-RN under CA BRN last year, ,opted to send the verification/validation with the $60 fee,, and so far Ive never encountered any hassle with that. I enclosed the $60 bank draft together with the verification form. And then a few weeks, got a correspondence in my CGFNS account that they already received it.

Thanks for the reply Chubichillipepper.I think I'll take your word for it and just send the "Request for Validation of Registration/License" with the $60 brankdraft to CaBRN.I just think saving $50 would be nice but the hassle isn't worth it.

Hi everyone! I have the same situation with you. How am I going to request for the Validation of Ca RN Licensure? Can I pay online?

All info can be found on the BRN website however I believe you can only pay by banker's draft

I see. So I'm going to fill the Request for Validation of Registration/License Form, let it be sent to Ca board of nursing then attach the baker's draft of $60?

Thanks Silverdragon102! Correct me if I'm wrong. Upon filling up the validation of license form and attaching the banker's draft I still need to make a letter stating the purpose of the banker's draft - that is for ICHP visa screen, and instruct Ca BON to send it to CGFNS International after doing their part filling up the remaining blank fields.

Did I miss something?
