Villanova - PLEASE ANSWER

Published

I really want to go to Villanova for nursing - I would be a transfer student and will apply to their alternate curriculum program. My only dilemma is that I can only afford it if I have an ROTC scholarship (which I know I am eligible for) but in order to actually get the scholarship I have to pass a physical and medical examination which requires me to set that all up well in advance to actually applying to Villanova (the application deadline is March 1st but I would have to start setting up the ROTC stuff now) so I really need to know if I have a chance of getting into Villanova - does anyone know how their admission process works? Do they only look at GPA? What would a competitive or acceptible GPA be?? What other things do they look for in an applicant?

If anyone knows anything about Villanova (even if it is just something you heard from someone) please let me know. Any help is appreciated :nuke:

OH I see what you're saying. You're talking about for next Fall. Fall 2011 - gotcha!

Yes i was refering to the next session!!! But the BSN express starts in may so it would be for May of 2011. its still next year but its a little better than waiting until the fall.

Villanova has a beautiful campus and a great reputation - good luck!

I just got my acceptance letter today :D

Hey my name is Stephanie too! I'm not sure yet..still waiting on oher school decisions first. Are you?

Congratulations to both of you!! Have either of you heard anything about financial aid yet?

Steph-I think I am going..where else did you apply?

cuseCMD03-I have no idea about financial aid I'm not really sure what to do about that because nova is so expensive. Did you get accepted to the program too?

I also applied to NYU and in the middle of applying to Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences.

does anyone know if ppl in this program have been able to finish prior to the 2 yr mark? Aug-Aug is pretty long to me :p

I was wondering about that too, it'd be nice to be done in may! But looking at the curriculum and schedule that I was given at an info session it doesn't look like it would be easy to do.

Stephiegrl - I got accepted and am leaning towards going, just waiting on financial aid before I can be sure!

Hey girls-

Received these responses yesterday by e-mail on finishing early and cost of tuition just FYI:

1. The tuition for the Alternate Sequence is the same as the University tuition for two years plus one summer semester. You can find that here

2. No, students are unable to finish the program early due to the progression of the curriculum.

Sad I know...still thinking about if I'll accept..
