How long did it take to start working at the va Hospital? I just got hired the other day this will be my 1st nurse job I'm a new nurse and I'm just curious.

The answer to this is curiously difficult to find. The VA website says nothing, nor does the VHA website, nor does the VA blog. This includes when searched for "freeze" and "hiring." The only thing I'm able to find is that several news articles state that "public health" is one of the exemptions, which may apply to the VA.

Hopefully I find the answer to this tonight when i go to work and check my emails. Being that I was waiting on a firm offer for a new job, murphy's law is going to say "yes gere7404, the VA is affected and you aren't getting that promotion you were banking on."
