hii..i completed nursing degree programme from India & worked there for 4 yrs.i immigrated to US few months back & nw live in texas.I am planning to write nclex RN form Vermont BON. i already have my CES report from IERF as Vermont accepts credentials eval from them. I had applied to Vermont BON for the exam but the application was denied as they found my education to be deficient. The Board states that i have limited hours of training in Maternal Nursing subject, both theory & clinicals part. So i have been advised to take classes in order to get approval to sit for the exam.I had checked with community colleges here in dallas regarding these classes but none of them allowed.I am really frustrated:uhoh3:..& tensed too. One of the college counsellor advised me to take the whole course again here. Are there anyone who have gone thru this situation????Is it possible to take these classes in other states of US.being new to US i am having no idea about the colleges. Can you give me som info on this.

There have been several members post that was deficient in some courses and had to make hours up, best way is contact local schools of nursing and see if you can be a guest student just for the one course
