Verification of License from Saudi Arabia

Hi everyone! I am currently waiting for my CES (Credentials Evaluation Service) report from CGFNS so I can go ahead and apply for licensure here in Tx. CGFNS already received all the requirements except this VOL (Verification of License) from Saudi Arabia. Last March 29,2015, when I called SCFHS (Saudi Commission for Health Specialties) I was informed that they no longer process the VOL due to the large number of organizations outside KSA requesting them to fill up this forms. And that the Certificate of Good Standing which they currently issue via their website is valid and enough to verify the license. They also emailed me the announcement letter that says so. I called CGFNS the next day and informed them about it, I was told they are not aware of this matter and that they're going to investigate and see why SCFHS had stopped this process. So I waited, after a week I called them again and they responded that they are already aware of this problem and that they have people working on this matter and communicating with SCFHS. Until now they still tell me the same.

I stressed out the Certificate of Good Standing which CGFNS said they accept but it has to come directly from SCFHS. The problem now is when I called SCFHS, I was told that it is an automated process and that I have to register in their website, provide a valid email where they can send the certificate after payment. And that it is their only way to provide me the certificate as they don't and never send this certificates via a post mail. Now Im getting really sad about all this and don't know what to do next. Is anyone here in the same dilemma I'm in? I need help... :cry:

I intend to use the VOL for both NMC and NNAS. Can anyone send me this NEW POLICY ANNOUNCEMENT LETTER? I know that this letter may not be helpful in my applications for both organizations but it would help me gather more information as to how to go around the notoriety of the Kingdom regarding the verification of credentials. :( I have already crossed out so many options (i.e. countries for nursing employment) just to avoid that VOL from SCFHS. But after reading all the comments here, it just gives me hope. :D

So, I pray I don't annoy you guys when I come knocking to your profiles. Thanks!

Hi there! I recently talked to somebody via email and according to this person, Saudi Commission is already back to their old ways of filling up the VOL form which is much easier than the Certificate of Good Standing process. So cheer up! :) You can go to http://www.scfhs.org.sa there is a number that you can call to confirm and well to ask for the further instructions. Anyway, if you still need the letter, I'llsend it to you once you gave me ur email address.. ;) Goodluck!

Hello everyone!

I'm new here in allnurses.com and I find most of your posts highly significant especially to those who shared the same dilemmas with the saudi council. In my situation, I'm currently working here in abu dhabi and started applying for the NCLEX exam in Texas and the NMBI registration in Ireland. As one of the major requirements, VOL is one of the most difficult particularly if it comes from KSA. I asked my Aunt in KSA to submit the forms for the verification of my license in scfhs in Jeddah but they told her that they won't be able to fill-out the form for the reason that my Saudi council license is expired already. She was even referred to the director and she heard the same thing. What I did was I called their main branch in Riyadh and one of their agents told me that the verification is possible as long as you have a certificate of good standing. So at this point, I'm not so sure about the instructions from both branches. But surely, I will personally contact Riyadh again and ask for specific instructions so it will give light to all this predicaments.

Anyways can somebody send me the email from scfhs about their news on not verifying the licenses anymore? Edz86, did the recent info come from the scfhs?

I do have my GOOD STANDING CERTIFICATE (is there an expiration for this?)

what is traditional filling of VOL? Kindly advice on his regard. Can't find it in the website

Hi Edz86,

First of all, I would like to say Congrats for passing the NCLEX, you deserve it.I hope you can help me and my friend regarding the Verification of License from KSA, I would like to know, how long did you waited for it and did the CGFNS finally approved the certificate of good standing, from KSA Is it ok even our title from KSA is Nurse Technician?

Hi honeybelle.I would like to share to you and to others who are going to read this my experience in getting my saudi licence verified....I got lucky that a relative working in Jeddah went home here in the Philippines for a vacation and upon returning I asked him to process it in JEddah-SC branch..I gave him my documents which include..my request,photocopies of my saudi council license and certificate,my good standing certificate,and gave him the money for the 150 sr(I just read from Edz86 post but some forumers say 120sr) to be paid in any ncb branch under the account of the saudi council(pls read edz86post).Unfortunately he went to the SC jeddah branch twice back and forth but nobody has any idea(even the Director) about this type of request I am making from the saudi council.On the third day,a saudi woman working in SC-Jeddah told him to mail the documents in Riyadh..He then followed the instruction.In the saudi council website,you will find this International Contact Call +966114179900.I tracked the documents online.When it arrived in the Saudi council Riyadh,I called the given number.The lady asked me about my saudi registration number,the shipping express I used in mailing my documents,and what's the name of the sc employee who received it.She told me to call this number after 2 days because she will make a request from the communications dept.After 2 days I called up again and was given the request number and was instructed to make a ff-up weekly.After 2 weeks they told me that they already sent it and gave me the tracking number.Pertaining to ur question if it would be a problem since nursing tecnician was written on the GSC.I believe no since my visascreen certificate is now issued.I hope it helps.God bless.

Could I have the instruction? Actually im still in process with my CES, unfortunately I was not able to include my saudi license because it is already expired. But my friend told me I need the VOL when ill be in Texas BON phase. Here is my email adress [email protected]
