Hello everyone,

I wanted to start a thread for those who have applied to Ventura College's ADN program starting in Fall 2020. We can post our points/stats, ATI TEAS scores and discuss anything else that we have questions about. I know with everything going on (COVID-19) that there are now delays in the admissions process and if you were planning on taking the TEAS at Ventura College it has been postponed. Let's share our information and get through this together. I hope to hear from other applicants.

Hi I have been on the waitlist for almost 2 years. Does anyone know of the status of acceptance letters for Fall 2020?

@Cna_lvn They have not updated us or the website with any information other than the TEAS dates have been canceled/postponed (they were scheduled for the end of March). If everything had stayed on schedule, they told me when I turned my application in that we would hear back in May. That won't happen now since applicants have not taken the TEAS yet, not sure if they will even accept a Fall 2020 cohort due to the current nursing cohorts not finishing their semester/clinical hours. The CNA program has also been paused until further noted and they are not taking applications for Fall 2020.

What was your original number on the waitlist? This is my first time applying and I was hoping to get in right away but I also want to learn more about the waitlist timeline, incase.

Oh my! I had no idea. I thought everything was still being processed as usual but it does make sense that it wouldn’t be if the TEAS tests were canceled. I will keep an eye out for updates. My overall GPA wasn’t so good so I did not have a lot of points. For the waitlist: I started at 172, then 167 and now 143. I am also on the waiting list for Advanced Placement I am keeping my fingers crossed for Fall, but not sure anymore given the circumstances.

Hello everyone, I’m also on the waiting list! I’ve only been waiting 1 year, I received my BS in health science and I turned it in to updated my points. I emailed the school asking my status. They emailed me back informing me that the Fall 2020 class has not been chosen yet and points are still being tallied.

Goodluck! I am sure you will get in especially with the points update. Did they mention when we would be hearing back by?

No they didn’t really went in to details. I’ve been hearing that they might not even decided on a Fall class, just because of COVID-19. But, anything can happen! The waiting game and uncertainty is stressful

I have heard that too and I noticed that they are pausing their CNA course due to COVID-19. I just wish they were transparent with us because we have no idea what is going on and this is the next 2 years of our lives. There is lack of communication and no updates on the nursing page, it is so stressful and frustrating especially after all the hardworking we put in to apply. I know COVID-19 changing a lot but schools should maintain contact/updates so we have an idea of what may happen to our future plans.

I’m also hoping to start in the fall. I’m number 26 on the waitlist so I’m crossing my fingers. I emailed Barbara last week, she said notifications will be sent out next month. She said there will be a new fall class. I was concerned with this while covid issue that there wouldn’t be a new class.

I’m glad they are moving further with a new class. Everyone has worked hard for this.

Is anyone willing to disclose their "points" when they applied. This is my first time applying. I am not sure how competitive it is to get in right away versus waiting on the waiting list. I hope you all get in this semester! Keep working hard, we will all be awesome nurses one day.
