So I've recently started a new job! Hey me...then, I went in today to find two team mates discussing one of our nurse's past drug use with a patient! A patient..
When did nursing get to this point where staff feels comfortable to slaughter each other with patients.
It truly broke my heart, especially since the victim of this gossip, is quite a good nurse; one that they all cuddle whenever she's around.
I've had a few jobs in my career, but never encountered this level of unprofessionalism and disloyalty.
Poor victim will forever be haunted my her past, but might never know as she continues to be welcomed prior to being slain in her absence.
This is certainly not the place for me! Then they wonder why the staff turn over rate is through the roof. They better start their recruiting cause this "old fashioned" nurse is quite keen on loyalty. We need to have each other's back!
Right; rant over, thank you, now I've got to go back to my job search.

Unfortunately it just seems to be the changing of the times (that's the saying, right?). It's like an employee or the company being loyal...far and few...sigh...
One the other hand, hopefully you just walked into the tail end of a conversation that left you with more questions than answers, and thankfully was none of your business!
