You are Per Diem so if you don't pick up shifts for a couple of weeks for a vacation or injury that is not calling off. If you signed up for a shift and needed to call off of it that is calling off. I would remind her that you are per diem.

Is there someone that can drop you off at work and take your car in to the shop and pick you back up? Doesn't sound like your attendence has been a problem being that you are per diem. I would sit down with her and maybe the DON or administrator as well just to have another person with you....unlessl you are union, for which you could have a union rep with you.
