VENT: 2 Points away from getting an A

Published

I am so upset and mad at myself right now. I literally just missed my grade of an A by 2 POINTS. Not percentage but POINTS. Had I answered just two more questions correctly throughout the entire bi-semester I would've ended up with my A. I know that a B is a great grade but 2 points...that just hurts. And I kick myself because if I would've just paid more attention to those trick questions, I would've given myself the extra 2 points. It stings to miss an A by less than a half a percent. UGH....Nursing school!!!:lol2:

No, I'm not at Front Range but I'm in the CCC system so our classes are tailored the same way. I was just curious. I haven't heard anything about anyone passing/failing med surg but I heard that a lot were struggling with it early on. I start on Monday so we shall see. Thanks for the info!

Oh ok, I know there were some front range students on here so I wasn't sure if you were one of them. Even the Front Range campuses vary a lot. We have a LPN to RN bridge student that just joined us this semester, she went to FRCC in westminster and she has been telling us how much different her school was compared to ours. Which is odd since it's the same college. Like some big differences. Than we have some from Sterling in the bridge also that have told us the same. I always assumed it would pretty much the same across the board locally.

Good luck with med/surge, I believe we lost 7 in that class. It's hard to remember now. We get new students each semester that are reentering or we got 6 lpn students this time too. None of the students that failed med/surge were able to get back into it this fall semester so hopefully than can next one so they aren't stuck to far behind.
