I thought the IV thread for tips and tricks was so good that I would try to get some of you experts to give us venipuncture tips and tricks.
For me i have had to overcome "seeing is believing" and change to "feeling is believing", and (bad I know) I have to cut the tip of my index finger glove off so I can feel.

When I was learning how to perform venipuncture my teacher always reminded us to make sure our bevel was up. I think that's very important also to make sure you aspirate

Some of the same things as with the IV thread-- hang the arm down, wrap it in warm towel, etc. And put the arm rest thing down on the chair so your patient doesn't fall out when they pass out (seems most likely with young men, especially big, muscular ones!) LOL
