Hello has anyone took the entrance exam for the veeb lpn program in long island if so how was it?

I have a wide foot ... So I got the Cherokee brand shoes but it's synthetic lined .. I wore them for a week 8-3 at the nursing home and they are not comfortable .....I might invest in Dansko better quality ...a little pricey

Aye, Current Veeb Student Checking In... I can't believe we are 5-6 weeks away from Graduation!!! Congrats to the new comers as well!!!! Enjoy your summer. Don't worry about studying, you'll learn everything you need to know in due time... I was reading a few things about Uniforms.. My advice if you've haven't already brought your veeb uniform. Is to buy. 3 white uniforms ( for clinicals _ which is either at a Nursing Home or Hospital) and 2 Blue uniforms for regular class, I'll advise those of you that get cold fast or like your warmth in class, to buy the veeb blue jacket. But if you don't want to, it's ok. Veeb allows you to wear a long sleeve navy blue long sleeve shirt under the blue scrub top.. ... Blue don't get dirty like White. And your White uniform is worn in the hospital and other places... please do not double wear the same white clothes you provided ADLS to a client it!!! If you own a washing machine at home or live near a laundromat 2 white pairs will be sufficient. . But for those of you with two white uniforms by 3rd semester the clinical instructors aren't afraid to tell you.. to switch it up... Its Dirty, Dingy!!! Please another thing..... Try to buy your veeb books used amazon, chegg, abesbook, Craigslist whatever.. but don't go crazy if you don't get them.. last year graduating students came up to veeb the first week of school selling there books as a bundle deal... $350 should get you everything I heard. And I'm sure I went a little over on 350, you should have some change left over.. but yes, the books are important!!! Well to me it is. The books are for reinforcement to what it taught to you!!! So get them.... ok, now let's talk about some must have that I've seen in veeb. Colored Highlighters, colored ink pens if you're a visual learner, a deck index cards, preferably the index cards with the spiral ring.... 5 different color folders, yellow, pink, purple, orange, blue.. get it.. Thank me later. No need for a rolling bookbag. Veeb provided us with strong heavy totes.. you paid for it in your tuition. Use it!!! Stethoscope + Pen Light+ Calculator+ Planner are included in bag.. I ended up buying another stethoscope, a pi n k stethoscope from amazon.. couldn't hear out of veebs... other people could though. I couldnt. Pen light is good. Planner is helpful to keep me on track with my assignments, and daily life.. oh, veebs provided.calculator.. don't lose it. Matter of a fact, don't lose nothing veeb give you, you'll have to pay for a replacement, because you already signed that you received these things. Calculator, you will want to keep that safe at all times, you will need it for your dosage calculations on your pharmacology exam.... on another note.. Veeb is the Hardest, most Wonderful program, because the teachers really are there to help.. tutoring is practically everyday. From 1-2 pm.. Quizzes are show after school, don't be to quick to say, I'm out of here.... especially if you know you didn't do that we'll on the exam.. grades are posted by ID # .. the only way someone can know your grade, is if you tell them your ID #.... Now drama. Leave it at home... We are nurses, help one another, stop beefing, and gossiping. .. How do I study?? I FORMED A WICKED STUDY GROUP WITH 2 OTHER GIRLS!! I call us the success team.. yup. We plan daily assignments, to be completed. We also, have a 8pm phone review session at night.... so no excuses you night shift workers!!!! 70 is passing at veeb!! But don't aim for that!!! To me, 70 means you didnt fully understand the module... remember veeb only give you the PN, it's the Nclex that gives you the LICENSE part... So No BS!!!!!! Pharmacology is on everyone's mind... Don't worry veeb has a wonderful over qualified Instructor teaching the course. But it's still a Sh** load of information to retain.. All I can Tell you, is to group the drug classes... For example... a Tylenol and a Morphine. . What's different about the two, can I take them together, which one is stronger, which one is a controlled substance ??????etc.. But think of those two drugs on a scale ×10 !!! So, like I said before, remember that.. the girl from allnurse said to group the different classes. MY SUCCESS TEAM, WE WRITE THE MODULE OUT.. yes it takes time, but so what... I like to look at my drug information as a whole, instead of flipping from one page to the next. I like my information listed all on one page, so I can analyze what I am looking at. And what's different about the other drug... My group is a 88+ avg in pharm.. 50 questions two pts each exam... I'll take that. Because when we go to look at the exam, it's a few silly mistakes that we made, or things we over looked. And we laugh at each other and say, didn't we say that over and over on the phone lastnight.. lol Well That's way better than getting a 70.. And please don't think your too good for a study group, and if your failing.. please ask for help..!!! I hate seeing the big mouths and the quite people drop out of the program.. Say something!!!! But on another note. Alot of sleepless nights, I can't lie... Alot of tears hit my notes at night. Saying how am I going to retain all this info.?? . But guess what... Its about to be July and We're graduating in August. Those tears were worth it.!!!... Because I put my mind to it, and I'm doing it. We Are All Doing It!! I'm 25 with a child. No dummy. A.S in Criminal Justice, transfered to John Jay college of criminal justice, but Never completed.. Because I got cold feet, thinking of the justice system.. and went back to my original plann. with My soon to be Lpn!! Yes, Young Mommy's Winning... Already signed up to a community college to finish my 3 science pre requisite.. So My LPN to RN load will be lighter... I did it, you can do it toooo... I'll try to come back and update you guysss.. Enjoy your summer... seriously. . No notes
