VEEB LPN Program (info request)

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Hey hopeful, like trini stated, u first get your results, if u passed they have a date u have to have two reference letters in by, then they send u a letter of acceptance with a date u have to have the deposit by, i'm doing the bridge and the bridge is for people who came really close to passing the entrance exam, we have to take a remedial class then take the test over, and if we pass we are in!!!!! geo when is your interview for the bridge? Mines is tuesday, I'm excited to hear about the program!

Hi NY-Mom! Thanks for your note! I'm happy for all of you who got in to VEEB! Have a feeling I'm not going to make it...I didn't get a failure letter but still have not gotten test scores letter. By the time I get it, it probably be too late...:bluecry1:

anyone considering the snya program???? Does anyone know if you get to pick which facility you want to work for? Didnt get much from the website.

anyone have any idea what the starting salary for LPN is?

I've heard from 20-25 an hour, nursing homes pay lpns the most..

Does anyone know which vaccinations VEEB requires? I dont see any specifics on the paperwork I have.

I have thought about western suffolk boces, but isn't it too late ?

hey nursegurl,,,the vaccinations and other requirements are on the green piece of paper given when you applied for the test..at the bottom where it says you have to have the physical it list the other requirements...I had all my stuff taken care of yesterday through my insurance...
