VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Im not eligible! I have done volunteer work in a hospital but never a paid employee! I'm paying out of my pockets!lol

how does that SYNA work...I have worked in a hospital as a CNA in the past but its been like 6 years ago...I have heard from NYMOM she is waiting for her results!

You can look it up at snya.org.....i found out about by reading all the other posts from day one......dont quote me but i think they will either pay for veeb or a rn school and in return you have to work at one of there snya affiliates usually a long term care facility for two years and you still get a regular paycheck....i was thinking about it but i wanted more info....but i think once you get into VEEBS they visit and try to recuit people....i spoke to my cousin whos in the program today and sh'e like pharmacology is bustin her butt so word to the wise is to glance at it now cuz i heard it is HARD... Ill try to ask her about snya.....:typing:up:

The info that I know about the program is just what I read on their website. It makes sense to me that all they need a a 2 year commitment whether it be full time or part time..... I did notice however that the grant is up in March of 2010 so I don't know that would affect us (or whomever is interested).

I plan on taking a pharmacology class over the summer to prepare me.. . . . . .I will be ready I wanna excel in that class because I think you need a b or b+ to pass it. Every other class requires only a c+ from what I've been told. So summer school here I come hopefully it doesn't start until after I come back from Miami for Memorial weekend! Cant wait for a long vacation so I can be ultra ready for veeb.
