VEEB LPN Program (info request)

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Hey guys, I plan on studying off and on all day too! I really want to do well on wensdays test! My name is Mariel Hiraldo and I usually sit in the front of classroom A, hope to meet u guys!!

Hellerrrre n hey errbody!!

I am so excited I found this website! :D LOL It has helped out alot! Like many of you all, I am soooo excited about startin at VEEB!! I just can't believe that we've already had our first test within 3 dayz. WOW N more coming up!!! I just keep telling myself, "you have just 11 more months....11 more months!!!!" :) We can do it ya'll!! I encourage everyone to stay focused. With God, AAALLLLL things are possible. Trust Him, study, stay positive, stay focused on your goal and you'll make it. Good luck to everyone this week on tests and studying. TTYL!

Holla!!!

Hey maizon Im in class A too I pretty much sit center isle. But anways be sure to stay focused I know that you and everyone else could definitely accomplish veeb.

Im in the FSA class.. all i know is it is a big class and it gets really hot in the back....i usually sit in the back of the room to the right by the coat hangers ( same side as the podium) got some studying to do so see everyone tomorrow

Ok...did anyone else get freaked out today when hearing we should be studying about 5 HOURS A NIGHT??? I dont know about the rest of you, but that is pretty much impossible for me since I work full time. I think the maximum I would be able to study and read in the evenings would be about 3 hours. I hope I can still do well! Is anyone else here going to have trouble finding 5 hours a night to study? I hope I'm NOT the only one! Ok, now I'm getting off the computer to go study science before i have to be at work at 3:00!:D

hehe, i sit next to you! well, i used to sit in the back on the left, but my seat got taken so now i sit back right.

hey 5 hours is a lot for me too with two toddlers running around, I was definetly freaked out by her today LOL!

LMAO... gotta love her. 5 hours a day?

Don't sweat it, honestly you're better off studying your modules for an hour a day and looking at the diagrams in the books.

VEEB is formatted to allow cramming, I know everyone's different, but studying 2-4 hours before an exam usually did the trick for me.

If you put in 5 hours a day, you'd probably get 96-100 on every exam.

Lastly for the person who asked, I should be taking the boards in October. VEEB is slacking though and has yet to send the eligibility list to the state. I've paid all the fees and did all the paperwork, just waiting for permission from the state.

I hear ya! I had twins in mid-july and i'm lucky if they get on the same schedule to allow me the time to study and then i'd feel super guilty and missing out if i took 5 more hours away from them EVERY day to study. So far i got two great grades, but i'm more worried about actually retaining the information. Because, as she said, cramming and then forgetting does no good, this information is for the long-term!

Much success everyone!
