Vanderbilt Nurse Residency Winter 2022

Updated:   Published

I searched but did not see one started yet. I applied for TICU and Behavioral Health tracks. What did everyone else apply for? Hopefully we hear something soon!

Has anyone who accepted an offer started looking into apartments and where to live? I’ll be relocating and have no idea about Nashville living!

If I were to recommend an area in Nashville to live in that is closest, nice, safe and still within a reasonable price range I would highly suggest the Bellevue neighborhood. It's about a 10-15 min commute to Vandy during low traffic times and upwards of 30 mins during high volume hours! Stay away from areas right along the cumberland river, the north side (Trinity Ln area), Antioch, and areas around the airport. Someone above mentioned Brentwood and Franklin. Those are both VERY nice and affluent areas with low crime and very nice amenities, but is pricey. Also, if you commute to Vanderbilt, they will try to get you to pay for parking out of your paycheck, however if you work night shift (99% of new grads at Vandy) you can park on the upper levels of the garages and be fine 90% of the time. I've gotten a ticket once or twice, but it's better than paying for parking!

Any apartments suggestions in the Bellevue neighborhood

Helloooo everyone!

I didn't see an updated thread for Vandy's Winter 2022 Nurse Residency Cohort so I thought I would re-start it! If you all have any updates on the process/pay/interview info please share ?

Good luck to everyone!
