does anyone know approximately how many positions are available for each track ? I think my interview went well but I don't want to get my hopes up because I also don't really know how many people were interviewed.. anyone have any insight? I interviewed for adult acute care so I will be biting my nails until march :nailbiting:

I was told that they won't know how many positions are open until after they interview everyone and sit down with department heads. And she also told me that they were interviewing 271 total people.

I know they have to talk to the department heads and figure out the needs of the floors first I just meant compared to past years how many they have taken for each track approximately..

I was accepted into the last adult acute care track. There were 7 of us.

Hi everyone!

Just had some questions about how everyones interview went. I already had mine and although I felt like I answered every question they asked pretty well, I felt like it was very brief. My interview only lasted 25 minutes and I don't think they got to know the real me in such short amount of time. Did anyone else feel this way or have an interview ~30 minutes long? Thanks!

Thanks @ama3t that's what I was looking for! I interviewed for adult acute care too, how do you like it?

@NorthernRN77 maybe they were just able to get all they needed from you in that time, what track were you interviewing for? At the end they left time for me to say anything I wasn't able to say and ask questions so that was helpful

I applied for the ED track! I'm hoping that's the case. Not used to such a quick interview with kind of rapid fire questions. They gave me time to ask questions but not say anything I might have left out. That wouldve been nice!

@NorthernRN77 I also interviewed for the ED track. Mine lasted about 45 minutes, but I felt the same as you afterward. I don't feel like they really got to know me, it wasn't a very personal interview. Which is different than what I'm used to. Glad that someone else feels the same as me!

@alexrose1126 its nice meeting someone interviewing for the same track! I am glad you felt similarly to me, definitely makes me feel a little better. As I understand it, they are very professional interviews and have to stick to the questions they are provided with. It was a great overall experience and also a different one like you said. Hopefully the best outcome for both of us! Do you know how many Adult ED interviews they had/ around how many they're expecting to take?

@NorthernRN77 I'm not sure how many they interviewed or how many they will take. Last summer, I believe they took 5 for ED. It will depend on staffing needs though so it could be totally different this year.

I THINK they took 2 or 3 for ED in February in my cohort.

And @pvp I like the acute care track so far. I'm llosing my preceptor in three more shifts though so ask me then lol! Everyone has been great but I still can't help but feel like its happening a little fast. I think I'd feel like that anywhere though. You can't see EVERYTHING on orientation! The residency classes are great, alot of useful information. But at the same time It means coming four days a week instead of three and is a little tiring especially for me since I'm commuting. Overall its a good program, and I'm grateful for this this oppurtunity.
