Vanderbilt MSN 2018

Published

Hi! I'm starting a thread for Vanderbilt MSN Fall 2018. Anyone else applying too? Please comment!

No, but I am doing the prespecialty year and don't already have my BSN so that is probably why!

@MBRNURSE You should give Vandy a call and talk to a counselor. They are very helpful and can explain the modified block format in detail for you.

I haven't heard anything back either. I applied for WHNP/ AGPC prespecialty.. Only thing I have gotten is the financial aid email. When did you apply?

TGIF - thank goodness it's February!

Haha I loved this :)

I have a feeling admission decisions usually go out on Fridays, so I'm so (foolishly) hopeful! We probably still have a 2 week wait :\ but I can dream :)

Is the Friday admission notification really a thing?! Goodness, I'm going to be going even more crazy now. This waiting is KILLING me.

Ahh don't listen to me, I'm just a raccoon!

Please enjoy your Friday :) let's all try to just pretend this whole ordeal isn't happening

It will all be over soon y'all, for better or for worse. Have y'all thought about Plan Bs/Cs yet?

Yup. I've applied to 5 direct entry program for non-nurses and I'm applying to a couple of A-BSN programs in Arkansas, where I'm from. They aren't ideal, but they are plenty cheaper.

I only applied to 2 other direct entry programs, so if I don't get into any, my plan was to get a full-time job for a while at a psych department and pay off some of my loans while the next cycle gets on!

I only applied to one program last year (and didn't get in), and spent the year getting more experience and volunteer hours. I was so glad I did! I ended up changing my specialty and found something I'm super passionate about. :)

So...who wants to call this week? HA
