Vanderbilt Grad Entry 2012 Application

Hello! I have seen forums for the previous years' application cycles, but not for the class starting fall 2012.

Sooo... how's it going for everyone? I take the GRE on Friday (gah!) so of course I'm trying to avoid studying for that!

Thanks for calling Anne! I keep assuming the worst- waiting is exhausting and it's affecting my moods it makes me feel guilty because I'm so anxious and short with my boyfriend. Poor guy! lol

don't let it get you stressed out!! We still have some time to wait so just stay busy :) I know it is hard but just keep thinking another day down hehe

It's crazy to think that this time last year people were receiving letters!! It has certainly been an anxiety provoking wait so far. I am trying not to get too excited about the prospect of attending Vanderbilt next year, but it's tough to contain. Less than two weeks until March!

So people could be hearing things as soon as today! I called Thursday and was told that if you had an intervew you should know really soon. Anyone checked their mail yet.?

What about the specialties that didn't have interviews? I applied for ACNP, and as far as I know, no one has heard anything yet.

I'm not sure, when I called and asked when msn applicants would be getting letters she asked if I was already a nurse because I guess those get reviewed before prespecialty ones. And then I mentioned that my interview was like 3 weeks ago and she was like oh you had an interview, then you should be hearing something. I said ok like within the next few weeks and she said was like oh yes definitely and she looked up my app and it said under review. But if people were hearing at this time last year I don't see why we wouldn't be now. I am a pmhmp applicant though and I know it's one of the smaller specialties so maybe they finalize thing faster. I won't get to check my mail until like 9pm tonight so everyone keep me updated as you check yours today!!

And I'm a prespeciality applicant, so that could also be why I haven't heard anything. Someone else on this board called this week and was told they are reviewing the ones for those who are nurses first. So, you could get something in the mail today! Good luck and I hope a present is awaiting in your mailbox!!

another day of waiting down! no word, but what it sounded like to me when I called was that those who are RNs may hear first. She did not say that but did ask if i was a nurse and when I said no she said they are working as fast as possible to get it done. I have a feeling it will be this coming week :) my patience is getting thin hehe.... I just want to know so I can relax-- regardless of if I get in or not!

Rob...rn it could be worse....I got a letter yesterday...they still haven't gotten one of my references! Ughhh! I guess this could make my wait even longer... Wishing everyone the best!
