The National Nurse Alliance of SEIU kicked off the campaign yesterday nationwide.
The purpose being to unite nurses both union and nonunion to help resolve the patient care crisis in the US and to address issues such as poor staffing, forced overtime, salary manipulation by employers. I'm in St. Louis working with the local Alliance nurses on these and other issues. There's an initial 6 million dollars and a lot of legal and political power nationwide to draw on, to make this a dynamic and vital campaign that will yield real results and benefits for both patients and nurses. I believe in patient and nurse advocacy. The better vehicle to accomplish what is best for our patients and for our profession is a large, nationwide organization of RNs: Nurse Alliance of SEIU. The more we are the stronger we are!!
