Valley Health Fall 2020 New Grad Nurse Residency

Hello! I recently applied to The fall 2020 Valley Health Nurse Residency Program in Ridgewood, NJ. I am wondering if anyone else has applied/ has any Information on the interview/hiring process. Thank you!

Morristown Medical which isn't too far from Valley has their application open if you are interested! I applied there, Jersey Shore Medical Center, Northwell Critical Care Fellowship, NYP ED residency and CHOP (which is not my top choice but figured it wouldn't hurt to apply) So far I have only heard from CHOP regarding a potential interview and nothing from NJ which is really where I wanna work ?

Hey guys! I’m on the same boat as you guys. Applied to the women’s and health residency. Haven’t heard back, and both my status for the general and this one changed today to closed ....... Have you guys heard back from the email?

Hi I don’t think anything yet! I was thinking about calling bcs at this point I just want to move on if we are not getting an interview but at the same time I don’t want to be pushy if it doesn’t mean anything

They just love to have us all on edge LOL. It doesn’t hurt to call, but its up to you! They probably expect it. But I am also aiming for New Jersey residencies, I feel there isn’t much options. So many options in PA and South Jersey but I don’t want to stay in this area.

Well I def feel a bit better because I feel like it was a system update among all applicants and I have a feeling everyone has the same staus I am hoping! If @rev3 does not hear back from the recruiter soon I will give a call! Ill keep you guys updated as well ?

@MelMendez28 agreed. And thanks that would be great! I also applied to NYU ED and Morristown Medical Center programs, so we can compare those as well LOL. Also quick question, for the Northwell one its says current license required. Can we still apply if we are graduating in May?

Yes! I believe since it says July 2020 you can apply- at least I still did hahah! In prior forums here for Northwell I found that most people hear back in late April-early May about interviews so I think they know we don't have a license yet! Also, I was also in contact with an HR person from Morristown who told me decisions for interviews will roll around Mid-late March so hopefully we will have better news on that! Its also a larger health system so maybe they have more spots.. fingers crossed!!
