Valencia/UCF Concurrent Spring 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey guys,

I'm starting a thread for anyone planning on applying to the Valencia/UCF concurrent nursing program for spring 2019. The applications open online in 10 days (but who's counting?!)

I've also applied for the Valencia traditional program, but plan on doing the concurrent program if I am accepted. I'm thrilled to finally be done with prereqs and the TEAS, but now begins the agonizing waiting period. How about you all?

Thank you for your answer. I should retake my TEAS since the last time I took it I was not ready and got 76 :( I am not good at testing. Your TEAS score is awesome. Do you have any suggestions for me to improve my score?

I used a study guide to really focus on the math and English sections, since you can study the types of math problems and grammar structures that they're going to ask questions on. I'd say just keep doing practice questions to get used to what they're looking for.

Hi Farrah 34!

I figured I'd add to this too. My TEAS score was an 88 after my second try. I received an initial score of 78, but I ended up taking it again to be more competitive.

I used Mometrix's ATI TEAS Secrets as my primary method for studying and I found that it covered everything on the test. Whenever I needed more clarification on a subject, I went to Khan Academy for a more in-depth review. Look at your previous scores and find your weaknesses. For me, I struggled with math and the grammar portion. Make sure you pay attention to the the different types of hormones! I had quite a few question relating to them. Like Scobyroo said, just keep doing practice questions and take some practice tests to simulate the test.
