Valencia/UCF Concurrent Spring 2019

Hey guys,

I'm starting a thread for anyone planning on applying to the Valencia/UCF concurrent nursing program for spring 2019. The applications open online in 10 days (but who's counting?!)

I've also applied for the Valencia traditional program, but plan on doing the concurrent program if I am accepted. I'm thrilled to finally be done with prereqs and the TEAS, but now begins the agonizing waiting period. How about you all?

I'm applying to both Valencia/UCF and SSC/UCF concurrent programs. I've finished up my prerequisites this summer and took my TEAS too. I'm excited to finally apply, but still so nervous. Which program is your first choice?

Hey Shaybears,

The UCF/Valencia program for sure. I feel pretty good about my chances but I'll definitely still be nervous until I've applied and been accepted.

Are you hoping for Valencia or Seminole State?

Definitely Valencia! It's closer to me and I'm comfortable with the campus. :)

I'm hoping for West campus (as opposed to Osceola) as it's much closer for me.

Application submitted!! I'm so excited! The first wait now is for the application to move from "under review" to "eligible." No idea how long to expect to wait for acceptances though. Hopefully when the application moves forward they will give some sort of indication of when. Anyone else submitted?

Submitted my applications this morning to Valencia and UCF! Now to just wait until Tuesday to pay the $15 application fee for Valencia! :D

Exciting!

Even though the website only gives you the option to pay in person or pay by mail, you can also pay the application fee online through the business office part of the website. It takes a couple business days for them to process it and notify the nursing admissions dept, but it is another way to pay. That's what I did.

Looking at past forums, it looks like we should probably hear from UCF the second week of October. Thats just over a month away.

I'm constantly checking my application, and 3 of the 4 status items have moved from 'under review' (yellow) to green. Still waiting on that fourth one though..

Checked my application status this morning and its now green! *fingers crossed*

Me as well! That last check mark took a while on mine, but its gone and can't stress me out anymore, haha. Now we wait a few more weeks.. best of luck!

Has your status changed at all? I know we're getting close to decision time. Mine still is green and says "under review," but I'm curious if I should be expecting to see it change to "eligible" before acceptances go out.

Not yet. It's still marked as "under review" for me too, but it should change to "eligible" before decisions go out.
