For those who applied for Fall semester 2019 and got waitlisted, and now waiting for the Spring. Also for new applicants as well. Trying to be proactive ?

Out of curiosity, is anyone planning to work during the nursing program? If so, how many hours/days a week are you going to work? Btw I followed the other thread as well for Fall 2019, I applied in April 2019 for Fall 2019 for traditional daytime west and got waitlisted for anyone who’s curious. I later applied for night/weekend at West in July for spring for an extra chance just in case, but I really prefer daytime.

I will definitely be working. I currently work nights, so I’m hoping to get into evening/weekend program. At least that way I can be on the same schedule. Hopefully we all get in ??????????

I've been waiting 2 semesters Summer and Spring. Hopefully, I can get in next Spring T.T

When did you apply?

I applied on April 25. I knew it's gonna be a waitlist, but not expected that many people apply for Fall before me.

Oh wow. So you applied for Summer and Fall 2019? But, got waitlisted. I believed you applied a little late for Summer. I had spoke to Kate Martin from the Health Science Department, and she did say they received more applications for Fall 2019 than any other semester.

yeah. My friend applied at about the same time as me but a year ago and she got accepted for Fall. I was expected to get in the Fall term as well but the advisor said it might be longer this year. I was sad. Another friend of mine applied for Night/Weekend about the same time as me and she got accepted for Fall.

I'm going to talk tho the advisor later on today. Will see if I can get in the Spring term.

I am planning on working at least 24hrs a week, and some weeks 32hrs. Just because I have bills and rent, etc. I could not imagine a life without working because of the things I have to pay for. I heard if you know how to manage your time it should be doable.

I’m super anxious!!! I read other threads and they all claim to get responses around the ending of October. Does anyone have a plan B if they do not get in?

does anyone know when orientation would be? I want to request it off at work ahead of time. Thank you

@Mystical89 lol I’m just going to keep working until I do.

Oh, I’m definitely not going to continue to wait lol. I’ll apply for the LPN program, and it’s 11 months. Then bridge over, it will be the same timing. The nursing orientation is Friday 11/15, the daytime one is 9-11AM and the evening one is 2-4PM.

This wait is KILLING me!!! I know we wont hear till next week or the week after but I cant stop checking my email!!!
