Valencia Spring 2013 Nursing Class

Hello! Just starting a thread for all of us accepted into the Spring 2013 class to get aquainted and keep each other informed on what's to come! I will be enjoying my freedom for another few months! :-) Until January!

achelekatt I was told to wait on that too, the bookstore doesn't have a code or something until the 6th just as with the books.

For your scrubs they are short on pants and have a very limited supply of scrub tops. I was told they would be getting a shipment in in about 2 weeks but you can have them order the same size that you need by trying on other colors of the same types or scrubs.

Hey Greengal just a confusion on scrubs I thought we just have to get a uniform for the labs (blue tees and khakhi pants), the lab coat and the white uniform for our clinicals. The pamphlet that gave me during orientation didn't mention about any scrubs just curious.

I can't believe the deadline is already this Friday! All of my stuff is completed :-) Just for reassurance, once all of our files say Completed, then we are good to go, right? Hope everyone enjoys their holidays until the craziness begins!

So the Valencia Bookstore website was suppose to open today for the Spring 2013 semester....it seems as though this is the case but there is no nursing sections on the website... anyone else running into this difficulty?

I'm having the same problem and I emailed customer service about the issue. I'll let you know what they say when they respond.

Does anyone remember what kind of shoes we have to wear for lab and for clinicals?

I know for clinicals they need to be all white tennis shoes only, and I know we can ware the same shoes for labs but I'm not sure what others we can use for labs. Does anyone else know what shoes we can have for labs besides all white tennis shoes?

Okay so I am officially confused......I was looking the message board of the Nursing Spring 2013 group, and someone asked about purchasing lib kits....some one else replied saying we bought our lab kits the first day of lab, in the lab. It was my understanding that we ordered/ paid for our lab kits with our books at the bookstore, but received them the first day of class...?

I am looking at starting to get all my books this week, and want to make sure I get everything....anyone have more insight than I do about lab kits?

The bookstore told me that as soon as the nursing program gives them the book list it will be available on their website.

Also, I'm the one who asked about the lab kits. The person who responded to me said they would be available to purchase during our first class meeting. I'm going to the bookstore next week, so I'll find out what they say in regards to our lab kits
