Valencia Fall 2019

Hello everyone! I can’t seem to find a thread for FALL 2019 for Valencia college. So I decided to make one and see when others have put their applications in and all that good stuff.

Did anyone receive anything else from Valencia after they accepted their seat? Just wondering if there was supposed to be an automated response. For those waitlisted-I got a call for Summer the day before orientation, it is still possible to get a spot.

@Hispromiseremains I applied to the UCF traditional BSN and the concurrent for fall and both those classes transferred fine. ?

@wehavetogoback oh yay! I was worried they wouldn't transfer over...my friend told me her advisor told her it wouldn't, but I guess she misunderstood. And yeah I was waitlisted so I guess I shall keep an eye out just in case, congrats on getting in?

Both emails says,

”Our records show that your applied for the Valencia College Traditional Daytime/Evening Nursing Program. We have offered our initial seats for the Fall 2019 term, and your application was not selected at this time. If a seat becomes available before the July 16th, 2019, Program Orientation, we will contact the next eligible applicant. Please continue to monitor your Atlas email account for further updates.

If you are not contacted by July 16th, 2019, your application will continue to be active and you will be contacted via Atlas email when a seat is available. We cannot predict what term a seat will become available and thank you for your patience.”

Our time is coming soon!!! When did you apply?

I applied on May 9th. Did you get an email? I don’t know if I’m waitlisted or an alternate. My email is super confusing ??‍♀️

I’m honestly assuming I was waitlisted because they said if a seat is open for fall the next person up will be contacted. I’m so bummed, I had high hopes of starting in Fall. I’m still praying and have a little faith that maybe just maybe a miracle can happen and I can start in Fall.

The email is is super vague and almost looks auto generated to me. I was just keep waiting and hope for the best

Same. When did you apply? I know that there’s a lot of repeat students who are retaking Nursing I in the fall. My friend told me at least 6 of her classmates have to retake it.

I applied April 29th, and wow that’s scary to hear that so many are repeating

Yea, my friend said that many people took the semester lightly, or wasn’t in the mental space to be in the program which is fine- you’re trying to find your path and how to study, but it sucks for those who are trying to apply. Maybe, they took applicants up until April 15th? I’ve been in the medical field for 10 years and I just want to get into the program lol. Maybe some people will decline and we can scoot on in there lol ?

That’s what I’m hoping for!!! I wonder how far down the list we are. Worse case scenario if we don’t hear anything by July 16, we will definitely get that acceptance email in October for spring!

Yea, my husband has been reassuring me and I’m like “I wanted to get into fall”. I was talking to a coworker that went to Valencia and she said Nursing 3 is the hardest and it’s better to start in spring because Nursing 3 in the summer is hard as hell.

For all that didn’t get accepted, don’t give up hope. I applied for the summer term in December and didn’t get it. I got a phone call a few days before orientation offering me a spot. I decided to defer to fall, but be ready for that phone call!

I feel you. I’m very disappointed that I didn’t received an email, and I applied in March 6. Now I’m wondering if this whole application process is really first come first serve. Who you think I should talk to a health science advisor about those emails I haven’t been receiving as well?
