Valencia College Summer 2020

Hi everyone!

I wanted to start a thread for anyone who’s applying for the traditional nursing program at Valencia for the summer :)! That way we can give one another updates, or anyone with helpful tips who ALREADY got admitted for spring!

Hey girls.

What you all think about the AdventHealth university nursing program? It's a BSN. Do you know if it's good?

I went there.. Its nice and they will guaranteed a job with one of their hospital once you graduate.. but you are required to take 6-9 religious courses and I'm not religious and didn't feel the need to take 2-3 extra classes so I decided to not apply. It's a great program but also a bit expensive too.

I also got my confirmation email! Yay! Counting down to orientation!!

Yeah, that part really bothered me as well ? the fact that I'll have to do 9 credits on top of all the others for nursing sucks. And each credit costs 510 dollars ?

Unfortunately I was waitlisted in Valencia so I'm not sure if I wait until fall or if I go to AHU... So complicated!

Are you an international student? There's is any IS here? LOL

Yea, that is a bit too high for me. I have two kids and I just cant afford that.. I am not international.

Also IDK where you live but have you looked into Polk State College?? Also if you really want to stay to Valencia I would stick with that, time will fly by and I'm positive you will get in for Fall!

  • What classes are you taking for first semester, Nursing I ?
  • Any advice you could give us?
  • How's it going for you?
  • The books, how do we buy them? Does Valencia have a "bundle" with all the books or you buy them per semester?

OK this is the link with what I was saying but this is for concurrent. I do not know if this still is what traditional does.

I don't think so. I think that's for concurrent students.
