Hi everyone!
I wanted to start a thread for anyone who’s applying for the traditional nursing program at Valencia for the summer :)! That way we can give one another updates, or anyone with helpful tips who ALREADY got admitted for spring!
Thanks!

Have you gotten an email yet?? Cause I am so confused why only some of us have gotten waitlisted, but I still didn’t receive an email and neither did my friend. Hopefully people will have to decline for the Summer and we’ll all get it! LOL

OK so here is my theory on that... I'm hoping it is that you guys are like in a “Hold” state... were they are waiting on open slots and then to sent either your approval or waitlist email because you guys applied like on a close cut off date!! IDK if I explained correctly LOL!! Anyways I'm still hopeful for you ladies!

I'm a current student who's in Nursing 3 about to go to Nursing 4 and an Officer in the Valencia Nursing Student Association volunteers at the new student orientations! If you got waitlisted, you still have a possibility of getting into the program! I got waitlisted, and two days later they called me saying they had a spot! (back in march) I started over the Summer! Everything was so last minute! To get prepared for orientation, bring at least $300.00 cash or check. There will be a lot of purchases being made! In between scrub tops and bottoms, and community tops and bottoms. Your lab kit, stethoscope, BP cuff, watch, penlight, shears, socks, shoes and more! You'll need your lab kit and community uniform for the first week of school. Practice dosage starting now, because they expect you to know it when you get in. Practice your dosage bootcamp, and learn your abbreviations and conversions once they open up your CRN. You'll possibly need a rolling bookbag. Working full time will be hard. You'll possibly have to drop down to 1-2 days a week. In between now and orientation date (March 27th) try and get your immunizations paperwork. You'll also have to pay $188 for Castlebranch, a third party company that keeps track of your immunizations, drug tests, Fit mask testing, and background check. If you haven't gotten an email yet, they will be sending out emails up until the day of orientation. When you get to orientation ask for me! Jenna! If you need anymore questions or help go ahead and message me! Good luck everyone! I hope this helped.
P.S. Here's the link for compliance paperwork and documents. Congratulations to you all!

Thank you for this.. Do you know what books are good for that pre class studying??
Hey ladies for those of you who got approved and sent in your acceptance response on that Google doc.. did you receive a confirmation email or anything?? I got the "Your Response has been recorded" but no email to confirm it and it's kind of making me nervous, thinking maybe the link is broken!?

I believe that Valencia might possibly be backed up with students who were waitlisted from Spring 2020. Because I applied December 17th, (they didn't get my application until January 6th because I mailed in my application fee) and so they really didn't SEE my application until January 6th for Summer of 2019, and I got waitlisted for 2 days and then they called saying that they had a spot for me. And I saw that someone say they applied December 15th. As more and more students are hearing about how good Valencia's program is, the guaranteed admission, the low TEAS requirement (as opposed to Seminole state and UCF), and the concurrent program with UCF, Valencia is really growing, because before it was RARE for someone to wait more than 1 semester to get into the program.
