Valencia College Summer 2017

Published

Hi all,

I'm brand new to All Nurses. I'm trying to find out if anyone else has applied for Valencia College's traditional nursing program for Summer '17. I applied 12/19/16 and should be hearing back by mid-February. Anyone else in the same boat? Good luck to everyone!

Hello, I to am new to All Nurses and just got on the site. I as well have been accepted to the AVS summer of 2107 and start in 3 weeks. Anyone else here besides me? I am really looking forward to it. Been meaning to do nursing school for forever now.

they are really strict about it. I don't know if being in the military would excuse you

Congratulations to you all!!! I am in the nursing program and it's one of the best but also really difficult. The exams are not that horrible and they are usually from lectures and the book. I will advise you all to practice, practice, and practice your skills for check off. the book for nursing one most likely will require the code. dosage calculations get easy once it clicks on your mind. don't get overwhelmed and study from day one, if you can read about fluids and electrolytes and how they work, I didn't pass nursing 2 because I did not build a good foundation from nursing one but I repeated it and thanks God I passed, you can only repeat a semester once if you fail again during the program you are out. let me know if you have any questions and welcome, I wish you all the best

Hi there. So how do you like the program? It's it extremely hard? Any info is much appreciated!!

Hello quick question.. Im a transfer student and Im interested in the nursing program(traditional track). I almost got all the pre-req. My question is after I take the TEAS exam and I'm ready, what time and how many days during the week per term the clinical would be? I know that the classes are morning and flexible but I'm just a lil concerned about clinical. They said the first term could be two days a week but I need to know what time they usually arrange the clinical schedule? Also, all future terms clinical would be once a week and the time would be like the first semester? I only know that info about last term which can be 3 clinical, up to 12 hours and some clinicals can start as early as 6:30am. I just need to know how everything more or less would be, at what time so I can fit my schedule to school since I have a child. I just saw this post and I thought you may know any info about clinical thank you.

Hi. I just got accepted to the AVS program for the fall. Do you have any advice, tips?

Any of you that were accepted in to the program, can you tell me what you GPA's looked like? My overall is a 3.0 and my Pre-req is a 3.5. I submitted my application on Thursday and I am so nervous and anxious. I hate having to wait so long to find out. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!
