Hi all,
I'm brand new to All Nurses. I'm trying to find out if anyone else has applied for Valencia College's traditional nursing program for Summer '17. I applied 12/19/16 and should be hearing back by mid-February. Anyone else in the same boat? Good luck to everyone!

Hi Becca,
I applied Jan. 8th for the Summer 17' program
Just waiting to hear back and I am getting so anxious. Good luck!

Hi Amanda!
Thanks for responding, I'm anxious too! I think this will hopefully be the week that we hear something since registration opens on Thursday for summer classes. I'll write as soon as I hear something. Good luck to you too!
Just got my acceptance letter and so excited!! I hope to hear from everyone once you find out!
Congratulations and so did I!! We should start a Facebook group or something! I'm trying to be excited but now I'm just scared because the mandatory orientation session is on a day that I'll be on military orders and I can't get out of it hopefully they'll accommodate..? I have to call them first thing in the morning.
Congratulations! I'm sure they'll be able to accommodate. We should definitely start a Facebook group. Can you send me your email or Facebook name so I can start it? It requires at least one person to be invited at time of creation.
Of course! It's [email protected]. Thanks!

So quick question. Does anyone know anybody in the Advanced Standing Track program. I got accepted for the Summer 2017 and trying to figure the schedule. I know it's online for the class. But what days are clinicals and how do you have to show up to school?

I'm in the last semester of the AVS program. The days you have to be on campus/at clinicals vary depending on the semester. The first semester you'll have lab days on Wednesdays for the first half of the semester, then you'll have cliniclas, which I think was on Tuesdays. Plus, you have to go in for tests.
The second semester you'll have clinicals one day, but have to go to the hospital the day before to work up your patients. Plus, you'll have mental health cliniclas, and tests. There are also a few lab days sprinkled in there, I think we had like 3 lab days for the second semester.
Third semester you'll have clincials on one day, with mental health clinicals as well, plus you go in for tests. Then the second half of the third semester is practicum so you'll have at least 2, 12 hour shifts per week plus going in for tests.
They'll upload a schedule for the entire semester right before the semester starts so you can make plans for work/daycare/etc.
I never got an invite, were you able to find me? Thanks!
It shows that an invite was sent but let's try another way. The group is called "Valencia Nursing Summer 17" try searching and see if that works.
