Valencia College 2018 acceptance

Published

Hi everyone, recently I submitted my application for the traditional track for nursing at Valencia College. I have a few questions. One how long did it take for everyone to get their acceptance letters? I know it's says to allow up to 8 weeks but I'm so anxious!! Also, is there anything I could get before the acceptance letter to be prepared? Lastly, what should I be reviewing or looking into before starting nursing 1. Any insight would be great :)

thanks!!

I took my CPR class through CPR for Citizens, and it was pretty straightforward and about 3 hours if you haven't gotten your CPR yet. Def recommend if anyone needs to get it. :)

I signed up for my CPR class through Valencia and it's EIGHT hours long!!! >_

It is CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) though.

Yeah...The CPR class i signed up for includes BLS.

I paid $40. May I know how much you paid for yours? @ moxie77

Hey sariacvt! I paid $40 too. I found him through AHA website, however, there is info on CPR for citizens in our packets too.

Is everyone ready for Orientation this FRIDAY?! :) Has anyone completed there to do list in castlebranch?

Hey Moxie77! I've completed everything except my CPR certification which is scheduled for tomorrow. How about you? :) Did you purchase any of the books yet? I think for now I'll only buy the ones they highlighted and then go from there.

Hey Sariacvt,

That's great you have everything done! I haven't bought any of my books yet, but am looking into all avenues aka amazon. Yeah that book bundle that is highlighted is over $400 and still need to purchase the lab kit too which i think was $160. Every time I turn around there is another expense lol. Anyhow getting there and can't wait for May!

Yes, did you receive your acceptance letter?!?

Did you receive your acceptance letter early? The priority deadline is in 1/15 and it seemed like you got yours a week or two later.

I actually got it later than others but I am three weeks into the summer nursing program!

Were you waitlisted? I applied for Fall 2018 on May 3rd and I have heard from a lot of people that I would most likely not get in for Fall due to so many applicants applying for Fall. I'm afraid I might be waitlisted for spring :(

I applied at the end of December 2017. I did not get waitlisted and was accepted The day traditional program to start May 7th 2018, I switched to the evening/weekend program that better fit my families needs. I know there are less seats in evening but less people interested. A lot of the people I was accepted with for traditional track for summer were waitlisted.

I also applied to the daytime and evening program. Did you submit the applications for daytime and evening on the same day? And for which program did you get your acceptance first, daytime or evening or did you get your acceptance letter for both daytime and evening and you choose which track you wanted to start?

My daytime application was submitted on the May 3rd and my evening application got submmited on May 10th. I'm a little freaked out since a lot of people are now applying to both programs.

And what are the evening schedules like?
