VA Palo Alto Fall 2016 New Grad Program

Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to know if any of you have applied to the VA Palo Alto New Graduate Program. I was wondering if any of you had any of your references contacted or if you had any job offers. I was blessed to have the opportunity to interview, but i'm in limbo as to what the next step is. If any of you know any deadlines, let me know! Thanks!

it took me about 9-10 days after i got that email to be contacted with a tentative offer, so you might still be in the running! just wait until this friday and then call HR again after that if you haven't heard back from them. I'm assuming med surg was the last unit to be interviewed because i've seen some nursing forums asking how to interview for the med surg unit at the VA. they did not contact my references yet but they still gave me a tentative offer, pending references being contacted. and i did not have any previous experience at the VA. i hope this helps! and i wish you the best

Hi! I interviewed about 3 weeks ago for the medical surgical telemetry unit. Does anyone know how many they are hiring for this unit or know when HR should be done informing all applicants (of any unit) of their final decisions? Thanks in advance.
