it took me about 9-10 days after i got that email to be contacted with a tentative offer, so you might still be in the running! just wait until this friday and then call HR again after that if you haven't heard back from them. I'm assuming med surg was the last unit to be interviewed because i've seen some nursing forums asking how to interview for the med surg unit at the VA. they did not contact my references yet but they still gave me a tentative offer, pending references being contacted. and i did not have any previous experience at the VA. i hope this helps! and i wish you the best

I called nurse recruiting. I dont know if i can put a number in our post. I googled "VA palo alto mountain view center" and there's a number that shows the number of nurse recruiting on the bottom of the page.

Ahh I see. I called HR and asked them if they made their decisions already and they said that the deadline to hear back from them has been pushed back to September 9th so if you haven't heard back from them by then, you were probably not chosen. Hoping you get a call

Hey Kayng! I also accepted a position for med-surg so Ill be seeing you soon! 2mint - yeah 3 years is a bit long. i heard you can buy out of the contract which is prorated based on how many hours/how long you worked for them.
