VA Nursing Proficiency

I am a MSN and can't seem to be promoted from Nurse II to a Nurse III. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I'm currently at my wits end! :woot:

Find a manager who consistently gets their staff promoted and transfer. Seriously, I talked to people who planned to do just that when they were up for it. I guess some managers fight harder?

I'm not at the VA anymore as it wasn't for me.

If you are asking what I think you are asking, find someone who has challenged the step process and ask if you can see their proposal. I was fortunate and had a nurse manager who was proficient in writing those things assist me to get the step increase. There is a technique which includes going through every bullet point for the step and giving examples of how you have met the criteria. Good luck.

SierraMoon, I'm beginning to question staying myself. I truly enjoy taking care of Veterans, however, the system is really unnecessarily frustrating.
