VA hospital- clinical

Published

Hello!

I am about to start a rotation at the local VA hospital...well at least I hope so!

Typically I try to stay out of the usual panic amongst nursing students, but in this case it was really difficult to do so.

Our class filled out the dozen pages of paperwork to gain admittance into the facility the other day and everyone was in overdrive with worry about it.

One student was actually crying over the fact that she attempted nursing school before and was unsuccessful, now she is so worried she will be judged on that.

I have never been involved in crime, never fired from a job, nor disciplined in any way.

Even so, the conversation surrounding the paperwork has casted doubts on passing the test, so to speak.

People were saying they can reject you for grades, attending too many schools, traffic tickets..honestly is this true?!

I have an A average in nursing school, but that certainly is not the case at my first college, 10 years ago!

Anything that can shed some insight on this would be appreciated!!
