UWG Nursing Program Summer 2018

Hello to everyone applying to UWG's Tanner School of Nursing (TSON). I applied October 1st for the Summer 2018 nursing program. I scored an 88 on the HESI exam, I currently have a 3.8 Nursing GPA and am a licensed CNA.

I look forward to sharing my story and hearing all of yours while we go through the application, acceptance and admissions process. Hopefully, through our postings we can utilize this as a system of support in order to make it through till the end, (graduation).

I am hoping they let us know by Friday and we do not have to wait all through spring break!

Last year the applicants were informed on the Friday before Spring break, so hopefully they will do the same this year

I contacted my adviser asking why they tell us April 1st, and all she had to say was they are carefully looking at each application, and would rather be careful and be later than make mistakes and be early. My issue is it isn't like we had to write an essay. It's literally our GPA and HESI, plus those other bonuses. They didn't ask for recommendations, or to answer more questions. I just hope we learn by Friday. I can't concentrate when I'm worried about this.

April 1st is on a Sunday so I would think it has to be before then. I really think it will be this Friday or sometime early spring break. I heard some people found out on Monday and Tuesday of spring break last year!

Yeah. I think being told on Easter/April Fools Day is kinda cruel.

Ok so I looked at the website and saw April 1st is the date given on the PDF. I'm guessing that's the latest we will find out. It seems like last year they found out in a staggered manner. So maybe one campus will find out before the other? I'm not sure, either way 17 more days! *deep sigh*

The past 2 years they have sent them out the very end of the week before spring break. I'm holding onto hope we hear something later today.

Okay now I'm getting a little worried. I really thought it would be today and that we wouldn't have to wait until the week after spring break. I know last year they didn't send emails until later in the evening. I hope we hear something!

I'm like just freaking out. I'm constantly refreshing my email, and keep getting emails from other people, school, or aparment. Complete torture.

Glad I'm not the only one who is losing their mind lol I think I've checked my email more today than I ever have in my life
