UWF vs UCF rn to bsn online program

Published

Does anyone have experience with either University of West Florida or University of Central Florida's online rn to bsn program?

I have researched them both, and have found that they are both accredited by the same CCNE, but UWF's program is only 3 semesters, whereas UCF is 5 semesters?

Plus, I found that neither one requires any on campus classes or clinical time. I live in Jacksonville, so that's a really important component for me. Has anyone gone throught the program and found this to be true?

I have my AA and AS with a 3.52 gpa-(yep, barely made the 3.5! phew!) I heard that UWF is really competitive too. Any helpful hints or insight would be really appreciated! Thanks!!

Hey, I presently go there, I am in my first semester and am loving it too. It's a very respectable school. I have been told that as far as the clinicals if you are working that they will use your work experience as your clinicals. I haven't reached that point yet. So, I think you will enjoy your education there as well.

Thank you so much for your reply...I really appreciate the info. Which school do you go to? UWF or UCF? That would be perfect if they would take my work for my clinicals...I have thought doing clinicals was kind of silly after you already have your RN...what would I do~follow a coworker around?! haha
