I just scheduled my phone interview for the October 2011 cohort. Has anyone done the same? Has anyone been throught the phone interview before? What kind of questions do they ask? How much should I prepare?
Hey Jaime,
That is what I figured based on posts about previous cohorts. Im looking forward to getting to know everyone as well. It sounds like we all come from many different backgrounds. I'm originally from NC but now live in Germany. So needless to say I'll be the definition of "distance education"!

Yeah you definitely win on the distance! Congrats on getting accepted Lindsay! When I talked with them they said about 125 people applied. I know that the May cohort started a facebook group for their class so that everyone could meet and stay in touch throughout the 12 months. Hopefully we can do something like that too.
Andy
We certainly should.
-Jaime, my degree is in Biological Sciences. I always wanted to go to nursing school but ended up working as a science teacher and medical assistant the past couple years while my husband was in law school. I've been a CNA since 2006 and work as one at the US Hospital here in Germany. I am so excited to get started. I'm looking forward to being up in the middle of the night talking to you guys in the virtual classroom (I'm about 7 hours ahead!)
I live in Landstuhl. It is in southwestern Germany about 25 minutes from the French border. It is SO beautiful right now. The weather has been outstanding (knock on wood) the past few weeks. The winter wasnt too bad either. I've only been here a year so hopefully I'm not getting spoiled!
You're welcome to come on over and we can study together!

I don't know anything about the stats for this cohort other than they phone interviewed 80 people and pared it down to 30. I'm assuming somewhere between 120-150 people applied based on what I've read elsewhere. I don't know anyone who applied to the program but I'm hoping that we'll all be able to get to know each other at orientation and through the virtual class room.
