I'm curious about other applicants' volunteer experience?

I ended up with 220 hours since I missed the deadline on completing the 100+ last year and just continued volunteering. I wonder if that will be helpful at this point.

Hi All! My name is Adrian and I work at the School of Nursing as the Prospective Student Advisor. I just wanted to chime in with some information (hopefully i'm not invading this space!).

We actually had about 218 Applicants this year for the ABSN program, and there are 48 spots.

And while i'm sure many of you are anxious, we will be sending out notifications later in December. There isn't an exact date, but we hope to get them out as soon as decisions are made. You can expect a notification within the last two weeks of December.

Adrian,

Based on the thread last year it seems that students who were accepted were notified via phone calls. Will this be the case again this year? Thanks!

Yup! Students receiving an offer of admission to the ABSN program will receive a phone call.

Thanks for the reply! Also based on last year, it appears calls went out by the end of the 2nd week of December. Can we expect a similar timeline with regard to that?

While our timeline is far from definitive (we have to anticipate anything that may delay the process), we're working to get notifications out next week. The phone calls will be immediate, while the letters will be at the mercy of the postal service.

Any chance calls will be made today or tomorrow? Going on vacation soon and would be great to know when to keep an eye out for a call as I won't have my phone next week. Sorry for all the questions, I'm just so excited and nervous :):)

No, unfortunately not. We are meeting on Monday to discuss admissions decisions so any notification will go out after that.
