UTSW 2018 Summer Nurse Externship

Hey Yall!

I just submitted my UTSW nurse externship application and wanted to start a forum for those maybe interested in the program and those applying! Join the forum if you want to discuss the process and stress with me lol. I will be also applying to The St. Davids nurse Externship as well!

I did an interview for the externship on the 3rd. They said they were hoping to get their decisions to HR by "next wednesday" (yesterday). Can I assume I didn't get the position since I haven't heard back from them?

I wouldn't assume anything. HR moves slow.Im sure you got it, heck I didn't even get a interview there. Which works out bc I need to stay in Austin.

I was told that they were submitting the names to HR by Wednesday and I should here back by "next Friday" which is tomorrow. I interviewed on the 4th.

Well, Friday came and went. I still have yet to hear anything. One of my classmates who applied to the PCU track hasn't been contacted either. From what I have heard from recruiters in the past, their HR can move slow at times because they get rather busy. Hopefully we will know something in the next week or so! No news is better than bad news I suppose. haha

Dang! Im sorry :/.... At least it worked out in your favor since you need to stay in the Austin area. When did you receive the notice? I know some people who didn't get an interview and haven't received a rejection yet.
