UTSW 2019 Summer Externship

Hello!

I have been accepted to the nurse externship in the critical care department this summer and would like to see what kind of experience people have had or if anyone else got accepted!

which ICU will you be in?

Not sure yet! They haven’t giving us placements yet til this week or next week they said. Have you done the externship?

No, I haven't, I'll be a resident in the ED. I have a friend in the MICU she's a tech and absolutely loves it!

That's awesome! I'll be traveling to Dallas for this summer externship but I hope it can help me get a residency in the ICU once I graduate.
