UTRGV Mental Heatlh NP program??

Hello!

is there anyone here that got accepted to UTRGV mental health NP program for the summer 19'? I am a family nurse practitioner that is currently not working full time because jobs are so hard to find in Houston, but I am going back to obtain my post Masters Certificate in Mental Health so I just wanted to see if anyone here applied for the summer and got accepted.

I was recently accepted and will be starting in the summer with you. I have been trying to find information on an orientation but nothing yet. Do you know of anything? I am also a FNP in AZ.

Hello! I actually contacted the program director and she said there isn't any orientation. One of the grad colleges assistant however did send me an bunch of attachments via my student email and I have already registered.

Hi all,

I am starting this summer too. We should start up a FB group, I've found them incredibly useful for a cohort. We will all have a lot of the same questions around the same time. Who wants an invite? Or you can find it on FB search "UTRGV PMHNP."

Hey there! I'm doing my research looking for a psych NP pogram and came across this university, can I ask you all how it's been so far? Also, do they help you find a preceptor? I'm in the DFW area. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts so far! :)

Hey there Rachel! So far it has been going well. Last semester (which is considered the second semester because I started last summer) was pretty challenging. They do not find preceptors for you unfortunately which really sucks. The program is fairly new so things were a little unorganized if you know what I mean.
