UTMB Spring 2023

Hey guys,

I hope I made this in the right spot and y'all are able to find it! But I noticed there wasn't a cohort for this application cycle so I figured I would take it upon myself and create one! Best of luck to all of y'all! This is my dream school! 

Overall stats are 89 TEAS & 3.7 GPA 

Specializes in BSN Applicant.

I got in last Friday, too!  I’m so excited!

I still haven’t heard back, is that a bad thing or are there other people still awaiting results?

Hey I wouldn’t stress about it! When I was looking into previous semester forums, it looked like UTMB does their acceptances in waves. I’m thinking maybe 3 waves. So this was the first one, and the next might be in another month or so? Unsure about the timing, but I’m positive there’s more to be sent out especially considering not everyone will always accept the offers. Keep hope up and good luck all of you!

I'm still waiting as well. I've been getting anxious trying to find as much info as I could on facebook to see if anyone was posting about their acceptances

For those still waiting, I’m sure there will be more acceptances!  If you haven’t gotten a rejection letter than you still have a shot.  I was honestly surprised my acceptance came so quickly- I didn’t expect it for at least another month or so.

And also remember- this was the very first round of acceptances for the very first BSN public university program to send out for Spring 2023.  Lots of people applied to more than one school; there are sure to be many acceptances that will later decline if they get into a program that they prefer more (ex- they live in Houston, get into UTHealth in November, so they drop their spot at UTMB so they won’t have to move).

Has there only been one wave of acceptance? Has anyone been accepted after Friday?

I think that there will be another wave either next week or the week after. They have to give people time to accept their spot. This first wave has until 8/12/22 to accept their spot. Then im assuming they will send out more! I’m still waiting too so good luck to you!

TEAS: 93

GPA: 3.6

no healthcare experience but in my statement I wrote about indirect experience such as caring for my grandparents and my work involves minor healthcare work but with animals. I personally feel like my statements helped me a lot because it definitely wasn’t my stats considering people have way better and are still waiting.
