UTMB Spring 2023

Hey guys,

I hope I made this in the right spot and y'all are able to find it! But I noticed there wasn't a cohort for this application cycle so I figured I would take it upon myself and create one! Best of luck to all of y'all! This is my dream school! 

Overall stats are 89 TEAS & 3.7 GPA 

That actually weirdly concerns me more because that’s the same day I submitted mine on NursingCAS and I only just today received an email saying they’ll send the supplemental one soon ? still helpful though so thank you

Really that is weird but I believe it still should be okay and You should receive it in a couple days then also check your junk mail and spam to make sure its not there. I completed everything on my application before hand just needed to turn in my personal statment not sure or don't believe that would make a difference.

You should be fine. If you go to Nursingcas you should see that they extended the deadline again... to 7/6 so today... Therefore you definitely didn't miss it. I turned in my app the day before the original deadline (6/1) and got my supplement application two days later.

Wow they extended it again. They must didn't get alot of applicants or something. Good they did for those that couldn't make the first deadline date.

It just makes me feel weird that I still have not gotten it and it’s been almost a week ? y’all are saying y’all got it two days after you submitted the NursingCAS application. IDK I’m hoping I’ll get it here soon then since I got the email from Lauren Homan saying to be on the lookout for it within the next four weeks?? IDK crossing my fingers. If anything and it’s true they extended it again possibly from not many applicants, I’d assume they won’t prevent me from consideration if I’m considered late.

Yeah four weeks does sound a bit long especially considering some of us got the supplement within two days. But maybe the school got a lot of applications after they extended the deadline and now it’s taking them a while to get to everyone? Like the other person said make sure you check your spam/ junk folder regularly! 
 

This is my first time and I have no idea what to expect in terms of application process….I’m really just trying to keep myself busy while waiting to hear back.  I turned mine in in May and was really hoping to hear back soon but now with the deadline extension I don’t know anymore….

This is my first time applying as well. I pray we all get in. And I hope they tell us sooner then later. Did you guys apply to any other nursing schools. I applied to Sam Houston as well.

Yes from what I saw on previous semester forums, they actually do send some out rather quickly. I also hope we all get in. We would all see each other and be in the same cohort and can help each other out! ? I am in the process of applying to TWU which was my first choice, but I’m leaning towards UTMB since it’s just one year straight through so I’d be done faster.

I am applying to TWU and Sam Houston as well! TWU is taking longer than I thought, the school hasn’t processed my transcripts yet and it’s been a while.

I was going to apply to TWU as well. And yes I hope we all do to and we can help each other out. The program is super fast paste I heard.

Does anyone know what the class schedule might be like? Like classes every day of the week or just a few days a week? I live quite far and if I get in I might need to get an apt in Galveston.

I just got my denial letter from sam Houston so hopefully I get accepted into utmb. 

And I believe its classes throughout the week they have to academic calendar on the website were you can see the classes. And I live far away as well.
