Hello to all! I am applying to UTMB in Galveston for the Spring 2017 start. I have not seen any posts about this particular semester, so I thought I would reach out. Any body applying, gotten information, how was your TEAS test, pre-reqs, etc.?

Personally, this is my second degree as I have my first in Business Management & Entrepreneurial Studies. My mom is a nurse and has inspired me in so many ways, and I am excited to see where this journey leads me.
I made an 82.7% on my TEAS V and I am pretty nervous about this as I am not too sure how it compares or what the norm is. I hope everyone is having good luck in their application process and let me know how it is going for ya'll?
Interesting. I called yesterday to inquire as I interviewed on August 12th and haven't heard anything. I specifically asked if all positions had been filled and they said "no, we are still interviewing." I stated that I have been following this forum and one person said she was asked to interview but for the wait list specifically. She said they are still conducting interviews for both the wait list and open slots. I'm confused to say the least.
Sounds like we should go with what UTMB is saying over what people are guessing on here.

"we are pleased to announce that you have been selected to interview for admission to the BSN traditional program for Spring 2017 Wait List. (They made sure to bold that). At the current time, all positions have been filled, however, we expect to have some openings in the future and would like to consider you for our program...... etc."
No one is guessing, if you need evidence, I will gladly post the e-mail that was sent out. I had an interview today and she made it clear that all spots are filled up. She told me Monday, they all have a meeting and decide who is going to be wait listed and who is going to get denied so she said e-mails will be sent out next week or in two. My interview was great, just sad that I will be wait listed (that is if they liked me enough). She also said there is about 20-30 people wait listed and it all depends how many end up cancelling their acceptance. Those who are on top, of course, go in first. She said those with higher GPA and test scores are on top, they look at individual sections, not overall. Hope this info helps!
Interview was by far the easiest, they are the most humble people I have ever met. Good luck to all.

Agreed, I wish they'd have a more cohesive answer. It's possible they had open slots between her phone call and your interview.

This is pretty annoying that I still havent heard anything back. If they arent going to give certain people interviews I wonder why they didnt just deny us when they denied others.

I was just saying the other day that I would be really annoyed to wait 16 weeks to get denied. So for now I'm calling no news good news.
This waiting is so annoying. My interview was Aug 8th and still haven't heard anything back. Did y'all received the email about for the background check?
