UTMB Spring 2014 Applicants

Published

The application process has just gotten under way for UTMB spring admission. Has anyone taken the TEAS tests? Any helpful hints on getting a high score?

kuhlwave, I'm still debating between the two schools. Thanks for letting me know about the tuition cost for UTMB. Do you know the exact amount? I honestly can't blame you for choosing UTMB because they still have the Traditional program and traffic won't be an issue heading towards Galveston. I had my interview today with UTMB and it went well.

Well I checked my email and didn't have anything. Also checked MyStar and didn't have a green check. And now that it is Friday there won't be any changes through the weekend. Staying positive and patiently waiting.

I posted the link on the UTMB SON facebook page.

@sallypink07 someone on one of the 2013 boards said their tuition was about 4k a semester so overall the whole program would be about 16k. On the UTHSC board they said overall it would be about 17k for the program. So you are looking at a really close number. I don't know your financial situation but loans could be a good option. Plus UTMB seems to be very oriented on doing everything they can to help their students succeed. The shorter commute was a big bonus too!

@Kcasey91 Thanks! My phone and facebook seem to have problems and most of the time I am not near a computer so I use my phone. Or it could be that I am not that tech savy.

Hey Kris101198, it won't let me reply to your message cause it says you have over 25 messages in your account

Hi all! Congrats to everyone who has been accepted! I received an interview request last Thursday. My interview is this Wednesday at 1. Those who did participate in interviews, about how long did the interview take and was there a wait time before being interviewed? Any help would be greatly appreciated! :) thank you!

The only reason I had to wait before my interview was because I was early, my interview started promptly at 2. It was only 30 minutes from start to finish, walking to and from the interviewers office included. My interviewers office was on another level of the building. Good luck!

The interview invitation requested that I arrive 15 minutes before my scheduled time. All I did was check in, then wait for the remainder of the time(about 10minutes). Like Marthavick mentioned, the interviews appear to be on a different floor, so you walk alongside your interviewer to and from his/her office. Mine lasted about 45 minutes. Best of luck

Mine lasted an hour, but I think that was because we went off topic and talked about a lot of random stuff in between.

Mine was between 45 minutes to an hour. We too got off topic a bit and started talking about other things. Its very relaxed and friendly. Good luck. I'm still waiting to hear about acceptance, hopefully it will be this week!!!! *fingers crossed*
