Hello everyone! This thread is for all those who have applied to the UTMB school of nursing for the spring 2011. Feel free to post comments regarding your application and any other questions if u may have. Also, good luck to everyone who has applied!! :)

neither have I! ...i called dora T the other day and she told me that they're going to start interviewing students early september. I have my fingers crossed. :)

Does anyone want to post their TEAS Score? I hear this spring (2011) will be the first time they take into account your TEAS score. I scored in the 86 Percentile but I don't know if this good or not.

As of right now, I haven't heard from anyone and my application status still shows pending. Good luck to everyone!!!

My TEAS scores were not all that great.. :/ they were just average. I heard for the fall 2010 they accepted people with a gpa of a 2.9! I was totally shocked when I heard about that. I just spoke to Dora on the phone and she said that they're going to start interviewing early September..Good Luck to everyone! My application status is showing the same thing as well.

ok, i just got an email saying i needed to take the teas 4, i've already taken the teas 5 and they have got the scores. Anyone else get this email? This whole process of getting into nursing school is nervewracking!!

yes it sure it!! ughh...every school has a different test and different requirements! :/ but anyway...thats strange..why are they asking u to take the teas 4 if you have taken the teas 5?

I've also applied at TWU, Houston -UT, and trying to do the UTA program, but they are a little disorganized. Not so sure about that program and it being so new. I can't believe they accepted 2.9 gpas for Fall. Is that overall, or prereqs. Because overall, I have over 170 hours with a prior BBA, and that GPA is not good. But as far as prereqs, I think I'll be competitive enough. I live in Houston, and am worried that UTMB might be the only school I get into and I'll have to drive to Galveston everyday. Not so sure about that, I have 3 little ones in elementary school.

Which 86 percentile-Mean-national, Mean -Program, Percentile rank-National, or Percentile Rank-Program. Or did you mean you adjusted individual total score. I scored a 79.3% adjusted individual score. Not so pleased, but what do you do, can't retake it.

yea that's what sucks that we cant take it again..but anyway..i also applied to UTHSC Houston too! I just have my fingers crossed and hope that i get into atleast one of those schools. :) Would you mind sharing your gpa?
